EDIT Recycling code for PVC This symbol (3) is an identification code for PVC, Unplasticised (PVC-U) or Plasticised (PVC-P) Polyvinyl Chloride. PVC-U is used for the production of plumbing pipes, roof sheeting, window frames, cosmetic containers. PVC-P is used for shoe soles, garden hoses, blood bags, watch straps and more.
The Resin Identification Code was published by the Society of the Plastics Industry in 1988.
