Special vowel combinations: The syllable ntu can be written in modern typefaces with the u below the n͟t conjunct, but in older print a special arrangement incorporates all three sounds: কিন্তু = kin͟tu (but)

Note that the conjunct হ্ন hn is actually pronounced nh or nː.
